I have on my 1954 most if not all your goals but I have the original frame with a nova rear end and t5 transmission, A/C cruise, tilt column but I do have the original 235 and I get a lot of positive responses about keeping the stock engine. I drive it on a lot of long trips. I go to KC every year usually about 1200 round trip and I have been to HQ a couple of times another 1200 mile trip. Good luck on your quest.
