Back a few years ago some shirts were done in a purple color that I thought looked really good. (at one time I think we almost considered it "our color"?) Dark enough to hide the tobacco stains (and some grease) and gold, yellow or sliver colors looked good with the shirt.
And while I love and always promote Stovebolt, I personally, and its a personal thing with me, don't like the entire back of a shirt all filled up. It seems to take away from the message. We've had club shirts like this for years around my area and finally figured out that while folks love their cars and trucks most want to "KISS" it as in "Keep It Simple Stupid"...... Big enough to read but small enough not to be overbearing.
I still have a couple Stovebolt shirts I've had embroidered over the years and can see folks staring/looking/reading what the shirts say rather than a bunch of red ink splattered all over it that simply says yeah, I'm a car or truck nut. (I've always loved the "still plays with trucks" logo)
.....I do vote for pockets and would even spring for a golf/polo type shirt if its in the offering.
I'm not complaining guys, this comes up each year and I'm just trying to get everyone to thinking!!!!
