Most OEM electric fans are set to come on at 220 degrees, and turn off again at 200. As long as the coolant isn't boiling and the radiator and heater core can stand 15-17 PSI, the coolant can actually get up to 250+ degrees without doing any damage to the engine. That's how 21st.
