The loop of heater hose connecting the water neck and water pump is actually shorter than it was before I changed radiators. That can’t be the problem. The reason they are not plugged is because the water neck has a fitting for a hose with hose clamp. It seemed risky to remove it and plug it. Routing the coolant to the water pump was as easy as pie. Doesn’t look too weird either.
