Just a tip here. Over the years I was into WWII military jeeps. There is a forum I went to virtually every day, G503.com. G503 was the government number for WWII Jeep. Anyway, long story short, there were other military trucks on the forum, including Chevrolet and GMC. According to those guys, 350 pistons can be used in the GMC 302. Seems like there was other parts interchangeability but I can’t remember. Me personally I’d go with a GMC engine.
