sleeper, and cheaper. with the mechanical pump, it can easily be boost referenced. with an electric pump, i would need a boost referenced adjustable fuel pressure regulator. the elec. pump and regulator are expensive (read: a couple hundred bucks!) an mechanical pump is a lot cheaper.
