You probably don't want to run too much tension on the harmonic balancer. Some people fabricate an external bearing.
I've been thinking about doing a turbocharger with fuel injection on my spare 235. A small turbo like a TO3 would work pretty well and you could use the stock exhaust manifold and a fabricated intake to make about 5-10 lbs boost at 2000 rpm. There are a lot of small turbos available because a lot of people with factory turbo cars like Eclipses swap them for bigger ones when they modify.
