Interesting modification on the valve cover. Looks like the vents have been brazed closed and vent pipes added to help to reduce dirt from getting sucked into the valve cover.
When your truck arrives, definitely drain and clean the gas tank.
"A slight hesitation right after start that goes away once warmed up" might be caused by the flapper on the intake/exhaust manifold being stuck in the "warmed up" position.
Absolutely beautiful truck! If it were mine, I would not do much to it at all, except drive the tires bald.
Full restorations should be reserved for ugly trucks.

Are you referring to those candy cane shaped tubes on top of the engine?
I was wondering what those were and definitely didn’t think they were lifting rings!
I have to read up on the flapper you are referring to to better understand what you mean, but I do want to address this issue soon.
I was definitely going to drain the gas tank per the seller’s suggestion as well, but I didn’t plan on taking it out, clean and seal it. Should I definitely do so?
