Both of those are really good suggestions, however I'm concerned the cost might be more than many people are willing to pay.

Let's hark back to Jerry's suggestion of the spray on ceramic coating that is baked in the oven. Jerry...do you know how much dimension that adds to the parts you use it on? Do you know if it will work on brass? If the spray on ceramic coat only adds a bit (<.001") to the diameter of the piston, it might work and I'd be willing to buy a can and see.
