Hi, I have a 1946 chev pickup 1/2 ton that I (well actually my wife) inherited from her grandfather. He acquired it in the 70's and restored it to a point. A good bit of it isn't original and I have been learning a lot trying to figure out what is what and get it running. It has a 283 V8 that he put in it. Anyway,,,,, I was on the farm where the truck was kept and ran across what I can only imagine was the original transmission and engine. Looks like most of it is there, and it has been sitting for the last 40 years or so but it has been in a shed out of the weather. can anyone help me with what I am looking at, and if these parts are worth keeping? They are a 1000 mile drive away so getting them home won't be trivial. Here are some shots of the engine. will post next with transmission pics. thanks, Sammy
