I don't normally throw out a post unless I have tried several different things first. I scoured the forum archives today looking for answers but nothing that really helped. Ok, so as some know, I recently overhauled my 235 and just got it back into the truck, and now hooking everything back up.
I know that the gas pedal rods can kinda be a PITA sometimes, but man between the carb linkage and the accelerator rod, I am having issues getting it right. I replaced the linkage (or at least I thought I did), back on the pivot pin like it came off. For the past 2 days I have tried every combo and it's just not right.
You can see in the photos, if I hook the accelerator rod up to the linkage pivot (Sorry, I know the name of the part, sometimers has kicked in), it's too long. I have turned it around, moved rods around etc, and still can't seem to get it back like it was.
Hopefully the photos make sense and someone can see something obvious that I am not seeing.
