Kevin - I went out and looked at my 54 3600, it looks like you have your "pivot" in the wrong hole . There should be another hole about 4-5 inches to the right of the front freeze plug and almost directly behind the exhaust manifold. See Pictures attached, the first pic shows where the pivot is on my 54", the second pic shows the attachment point you are using directly under the back freeze plug and above the oil pressure line block. Move your pivot Kevin and I think you'll get it handled. Let me know if you need more pics, I'll do my best to help.

Thanks! I know that has been suggested but I didn't really give that a lot of thought. I will look tonight and see what I have. Man, Thank you and everyone for the assistance and for the photos!
