Hot Rod mag just had an article on painting a car for $99.00 using Rustoleum paint & a roller. My body/paint guy has been reasonable but he does warn me that the prep can be expensive so I take as many parts as I can & derust them using vineger/electrolyte systems then shaker can paint them. Yesterday, I was at the shop & we spoke about the running boards so I'm setting up a derusting station to handle this long part. I must say that reading about what some other bolters do gives me some spine to keep going & try new things.
