The 261 cam was used in many (most? all?) Corvette 235s.
If you want to brag about a having a higher-lift/modified-cam in your 235, use a 261 cam; and, you can then say that have a higher lift Corvette cam in your engine.
You will not be moving into the arena described by Jerry; you will not:
over-cam & over-carburate
and end up with less overall performance
while getting a more or less imaginary improvement in one specific RPM range
You'll get a little better performance and, you will either get eye-rolls, or some people might say "wow" or "what".
