Don't assume the wood blocks under the cross rails are necessarily correct height. I bought a set from Jim Carter that are OK front and midway, and 3/4" short at the rear sill. The apron piece has a notch to fit around the bump on the lower cab. With wood blocks in place, gap between apron and underside of box lip is about 1/2" on mine. Top of running boards come up just under the lip of the apron piece. If you put new blocks under cab, these may be a little off as well.
