If you find a 68-72 Chevy pick up manual bell housing that removes one step. And allows you to still keep your cradle mount on the bell housing. If you use your earlier bell you need to have the center bore opened up to the 5.120 size of the early nv4500. Then you drill and tap the front to 1/2 x20 on the front of the trans for the muncie pattern. Add the pivot stud to the retainer on the trans. And bolt the bell to the trans. Uses all the stock clutch and pilot bearing. You need to cut a new hole in the floor for the shift tower.
