Due to poor lubrication/greasing, the spindles get easily abused/wallowed-out (Chevrolet & GMC light trucks).
One minor addition: people have posted part numbers for larger outer-diameter bushings to allow "wallowed-out holes" in the spindles. This would require machining/drilling the holes in the spindles to fit the outer diameter of those bushings.
This is not a GM-part-number "fix". But, GM and other-brand replacements are not being made, even though the spindles were used for several years on a lot of trucks. | | |
