I better back off because you have a vacuum leak at the open hose and I never heard of a motor dying when a vacuum leak was plugged. I have a mental block on this right now. Will think on it. The leak is after the venturi. Throttle plate closed, Air cleaner, which does inhibit air low somewhat, had no effect when removed. It still died when plugged. The hose must be 1" in diameter.
