If your wiper hose is connected to the intake manifold and the truck will not run with it plugged, then you most likely have an issue with your carburation. In addition to that, you may have some weak engine/trans mounts.
Maybe start by plugging the vacuum line and then re-setting the idle speed? See where that gets you?
