4.10's are a significant difference from the 5.14's. I think you would find a good medium there between acceptable highway speeds and available power. Gotta remember that there were no such thing as an interstate in '50!
Jerry, just curious, why would the T-5 be too light duty for a 148 HP engine? The 4.3 puts out a whopping 180!
