Unless you can hear both engines run and answer the questions Tim asked above, any stovebolt engine (particularly a 216) is worth whatever it will bring as scrap iron. There are just too many variables involved in buying non-running "core" engines- - - -wear, freeze cracks, crankshaft condition, rust, etc.
