With a little tinkering, you can strap that "for sale" engine down on a forklift pallet with a couple of ratchet straps and run it. Search for a few you tube videos for examples. Just run a garden hose to the water pump inlet and run a slow stream of water into it with the fan belt removed, just enough to get a steady flow out of the top hose bib with the thermostat removed. The engine will run for hours that way without overheating. Just hotwire the ignition, plumb a can of gas to the fuel pump, and push the stomp start.
