I like the thought of a few hundred bucks and something I now know pretty well vs. a couple thousand (minimum) I am thinking of if I were to go V8. I'm just a little leery of finding another old and tired engine that might die on me again.

I have to say that in the time it was running, it honestly sounded like it would not stop running. I loved all the rumble it made in the cab when it started rolling from a stop and the whine of the gears. The journey up to this point has been great, and I've learned way more than I expected to when I started, which is probably most of the fun. Just a lot of labor for a 10 minute joy ride (or putt I should say) where it ended up with heart failure.. Good thing is it happened in front of my garage!

I'm into researching, weighing options, making a decision and then knocking it out, so I'm sure I'll find something that works.
