Actually, what I'm talking about is the painted portions of the hood emblem and fender emblems. They are chrome with blacked out sections. Basically, I am looking for advice on prepping the metal surface prior to painting it, and any recommendations on paint that will adhere well to the chrome, have a good semigloss look, and will last.
For the hubcaps, I was thinking of using a rattle can of white appliance paint.

Thanks for the recommendation. I didn't see it in the link, but do the One Shot Paints come in rattle cans? I've had some bad experiences with trying to hand paint metal. :o
