I recently did both the emblem and hub cabs. One shot is a premium paint for this application. I simply cleaned and sanded with 220 grit paper. I then used self etching primer. After masking off and painting I had a few areas were paint seeped past the edge of the masking tape. I took my Dremmel tool with a nylon wheel and was able to buff away the excess paint to a sharp clean edge. I used a brush. the paint smoothed out to a mirror finish. They have a One Shot blue that is a near perfect match for the Chevy Blue. I would not use appliance paint. I have done a lot of research and planned on using white appliance paint to redo my white painted bumpers and grill because of the hard finish. Everything I have seen is it does not do well outdoors. It fades and yellows quickly when exposed to regular sunlight.
