GMC engines you mention are all about 3" longer than Chevy engines which is why later GMC trucks move the radiator fwd into the grille support. 235 and 261 Chevy engines might be a better fit. Jerry(HRL) has a way to get Chevy engines up to about 300 cu. in., using other GM Pistons, etc.
