Both of you offer interesting insights into "standard" or optional colors. The original path of seat cover on my truck was maroon. Ordered the cover from Labaron Bonney. Well pleased with the material. The clips too were well made. The clip ends weren't sharp and there was no danger of ripping the cover while pushing the clips over the material and the seat frame.
You information will help me decide on the color scheme.
I wonder if the factory ever mixed maroon upholstery and black door panels as a standard practice? Or perhaps some other mixture? After reading here that sometimes there was a carryover of parts from model year to mod,el year just to use up inventory. Perhaps then if true, any combination of interior colors was possible ? Geez that could be the $64,000 Question!
