Hey Herbert, with all of the "great" advice from all of us "experts" telling you not to open the carburetor up yet, and then knocking you around for not listening to us, YOU found the problem to be what you suspected it to be in the first place.
And then you graciously came back to us to let us know about it without saying nanny nanny boo boo (or something more colorful).
I can tell you this. I am humbled and glad to hear back from someone classier than I know how to be.
