Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Check you fuel filters for any rust, or gunk. Are you getting a squirt from the accelerator pump when you apply throttle? Check your fuel outlet at the tank also.

If that doesn't do it... then go to the ignition and check to see if you are getting spark to the plugs. Could be the coil, points, condenser ballast resistor?

Really need more info to go further.
