Try electrolytic rust removal, it works great I did my 1940 truck and it took all the paint off too.All you need is a tank bigger than your parts {kids pool} soda ash-aka sodium carbonate- from pool store and a battery charger. I made a big tank 8 foot square 6 feet high with plywood and rubber roofing held 2500+ gal and used a welder for the cab.
