I have had the float "drop" too low and it stuck to the bottom of the bowl when the fuel evaporated, and it flooded bad for a minute or two till the gas dissolved the whatever it is in modern fuel. That one was on carbking, he said modern fuel makes a nice glue when it evaporates. I reset the drop, and the problem went away.
