I was referring to vacuum motors when I said Chevy and GMC interchange. I have a Chevrolet 6V electric motor in my '54 GMC and it fits but there is no way to attach the brace. I don't know if the GMC used a different motor or a different brace bracket. The vacuum motor is not braced.

I do know the next series used the same electric motors but different brackets.
