Is everyone ready for more confusion? OK, I have 2 trucks, a 1949 GMC 3/4 Ton and a 1960 Chev 1/2 ton long box Custom (currently going for parts). Both are Canadian built. I am trying to confirm the sizes of both engines, but am having difficulty. The 1949 appears to be a 216 (full height side cover). Casting #3836327, dist. stamp C359288. The 1960 is either a 230 or 250 as the casting # is 3850817, but the stamp is 12562453 and I can't find what that means. Any ideas?
Current fleet (subject to change w/o notice) \'49 GMC 3/4-Ton , 60 Austin Healey Frog-eye Sprite (some assembly required), 2011 Dodge Avenger, 2015 Jeep Cherokee. No, they don't all run. My other ride is a (B737)no, (B767)no, A320.... Update... was Embraer E190, now Boeing B787. Knowledge is a wonderful thing, but ignorance means you don't know you can't do something.
