Thanks for your help guys , I just pulled the g/box off and looked inside it . A bit of hardening off 2nd gear , all the rest looks good . Huge clutch . I took the starter off and checked again for captains bars , none there .
I have had the plugs out and valve gear off and oil down the bore , so this morning I got a bar in thru the starter hole and eased the crank around a little
moves ok now . I'm getting excited about this engine .
Not withstanding it was pulled for scrap , I think it has potential.
