I have just saved a couple of 216 engines from the scrap man.
I can identify one as a '42 - '53 by the 839770 block casting number and I am happy with that.
The other has me confused. It has the short side plate + 2 studs valve cover. Block # 5843350 . I cannot find this number listed , any ideas anyone ?
Head # on this engine is 3835913 engine is painted green (a long time ago) has a 6v gen and starter.
