Carbs aren't cheap but a filter is. I don't have a filter inside my 52panel tank but I have one coming out of it, and one between the fuel pump and carb.
....my 37 stopped on me while on I-85 one hot summer evening. Pulled the filter and was on my way in 20 minutes. Put them where you can get to them easy. Also never know what you get at the gas station anymore.
