The T5 has been used behind the 350 by lots of folks. The Camaro forums have many members who use the T5 matched with a 350 SBC. I have met some as well at car shows. I also sold one to a man in Ohio who put it in his 55 Chevy with a 350 SBC. He loves it. He used the T5 to replace a Muncie T10 4 speed.

In my opinion, the only T5 that would work well with the 4:11 rear would be a world class T5 from a 1988-1992 V8 Camaro. The 0.63 OD gear would give you a nice drop in RPMs on the highway. The 2.95 first gear would make it usable. The V6 Camaro and S10 versions have a 3.75 or 4.03 1st gear and it would be like a granny gear. So the V8 Camaro would work best.
