I'm in the process of contacting guys who have yards of old metal. Brad is right, nobody seems to have any of these----used or NOS. I'd really like to honor the original type but it also has been suggested I change over to the revised supports. I'll check that out as an alternative too. Just have to determine the attaching points on the cab and frame? Restoration seems like an unrealistic Solution. May have to use newer version of support.
A question for you.....another good as gold part is the spare tire carrier for you truck. Do you have one? Hopefully you do! If so, you can sell it and be able to build a new home, buy a yacht, and build a vacation home in Tahiti!A bit of exaggeration.....but very hard to find also.
