I've had the same problem with my rear plate on my 37 pickup. It bent backward so much the edge of the tag rubbed the paint off my stake pocket. No need to worry though. It cracked at the bolt holes and blew off going down Interstate 85 at well past 120..what a ride! Now I just keep the pocket card handy and drive it(or fly it) without one
