...using your original may be fine if the engine is not sitting low in the frame making the fan "low" to the radiator. Also, if using your original I'd suggest a fan shroud depending on the climate where you live.
However, Save yourself future problems. Buy and after market that will bolt right in and also have the tranny cooler in the bottom. Do it once...do it right. You'll be glad you did.
