Harold, I have a box full of those "studs/rivets". I bought a box of 50 so if you want some let me know. I'll drop them in an envelop.
I bought a piece of "strap" material at Ace Hardware, lowe's has it to, and did like Joe and made my own. Once I bent the straps over I tighten them in a vice. I was lucky on the rivets because I used my nephews 20 ton press to flatten them.
