Mike, sorry your having problems. I got mine from JCarter to an it works very well and needed zero adjustment once I put it in my 52panel.
If my memory serves me correctly the number is 4753CC. It has to have the CC on the number to be the one that avoids the choke. My experience with Carters has by far been good so give them a call.
....and don't give up. Overcome the obstacles one at a time. Sort of like eating that big elephant one bite at a time.
....if the engine is bad, fix it or replace it. You can't let the truck win. If so, I'd gave up on the 37, or the 52 about 3 years into the each build. The self esteem, the pride you get in doing it will make you forget the long road. I, like many others, have been there. Those who succeed go the mile....and "one more step". You can do it.
