What HRL said. I personally owned a 46 with the old Babbitt engine and the piston rings were stuck. Ended up pulling the head and doing exactly what Jerry mentioned. I burned firewood back in the mid 80's and found a stick of oak that was just the right size. Got the engine running but I guess I broke the ring when I was hitting on it. That thing smoked like a tar kettle after that!
