I'm sure Florida has a procedure for correcting a title. You need to find out what that procedure is and follow it to a T. Probably will involve someone of authority looking at both the title and the truck. They likely will not be able to trace anything number wise but will determine if it is stolen. You know it's not, so don't worry about that. Forms will be filled out and signed and money will exchange hands and the new corrected title will arrive in the mail a few days later. Guessing the process will take weeks if not months. Good luck.
