I'm not sure what route I want to go with this...I wanted to rebuilt the thing the proper way, but I've talked to an old time mechanic and another older machinist they talked me out of rebuilding it. Basically what both of them told me was for as much as its worth, just take the dampers out and plug the holes, not going to make much of a difference either way, functioning or not.
What are your thoughts on that?
