For decent functionality on the cheap, get tongue in groove wood, bolt them down every so often to the cross supports, and you should be good to go. The metal strips are available through most of our vendors. You can get them in regular mild steel, even stainless. The regular ones arent that expensive, but most lumber yards carry tongue in groove lumber. Good luck!
