well not really the engine, the coil.
i left the key in the ignition engine off with the key in the on position and was under the truck installing some new springs when smoke started pooring out the coil.
i assume it gets voltage when the key is in the on position even if the engine isnt running?
the coil is inside an aftermarket holder polished alluminium cup.
when i pulled the top of the coil it came off leaving the body inside the holder....
and .....i pressume is oil inside
there was about two inches of oil? inside
is this normal? is this to be expectec when key is left in on position ( truck stalled and key was left untouched)
