I redid the inside of mine using a POR-15 kit about 16 years ago and it has held up very well. It took my nephew and I most all evening following the steps but it has been worth it. Try finding even a gas cap for one...which I got lucky not long ago and a bolter helped me out.
AFTER all these years I THINK I have a small pin hole somewhere but not sure. It could be the shut off petcock I put under the tank but not sure. Since some surgery I just haven't felt like looking. It only drips a very small amount even when it sits a long time... but its not right.
I would gladly move the tank which would give me some storage area, but not sure what I could put under the rear. I know its done but most I've seen hang to low and make the truck look like its got hemmroids which I don't like. That's the only reason I still have it in the cab or I'd gladly fix you up. Can't be much of a fix for whatever is wrong with mine.(hopefully the petcock) I've rambled enough. Good luck on whatever you decide to do and if you still need one late summer check back with me. I may have one! | | |
