Thanks for the description. The difference in orifice diameter would certainly explain the oil flow pressure. Where exactly is this either 1/16th or 11/32th orifice?
This may explain why some lubrication issues arise when parts are mixed and matched. I have a "Frankenstein" parts engine that is an agglomeration of many year components. It has a 59 block, 54 head, and the connector assembly looks like the 1955-58 part but it had been pinched off (obvious backyard operation) similar to as on a 1959-62.
