Rayman: Tim's advice is very good. Painting it piece by piece is the only way to go IMHO.
You have already worked out all the fit issues with the parts you've worked over, so just pull them back off and give them to the paint shop. You will lose a little paint with each painting process, but Tim's suggestion for rounding up is good thinking.
I bought a bunch of furniture blankets from a local moving company and I wrapped all my parts in them and stored them in the attic above my garage while I was doing my truck. This was a good way to keep them from being damaged. Just use moving tape and the blankets and go to town wrapping up the pieces until you are ready to use them.
